Our client is a Bio-tech start-up company based in Dublin; Ireland focused on high performance nanoparticles for in vitro diagnostics. To further strengthen their team, they are looking for a Senior level Chemist/Chemical Engineer to support them during a scale-up phase and beyond. Responsibilities:

• You will lead and contribute to a team focused on production and scale-up of nano and microparticles
• Serving as the designated leader within the team assuring quality control and GMP compliance in the company infrastructure
• You will supervise research projects focused on new products, determining and assigning tasks, timelines and milestones that lead to development of new products
• Engage with the CEO, CSO and colleagues on the R&D team on KOL engagement and product development
• Contribute to the preparation of research proposals and business plans that will be used to engage in EU, Irish and private fund-raising alongside the commercial team and CEO

Requirements:

• A PhD or MSc. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with demonstrated experience in the research and development of nano- and microparticle technologies
• Experience in quality management and control for the IVD industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of analytical techniques used to characterise nano- and microparticles
• Demonstrated knowledge of bioconjugation and Ströber chemical processes and scale-up
• Proven understanding and working background within GMP principals
• Good written and oral communication skills with experience managing internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to think strategically but also demonstrate excellent organisational skills
• You must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
